Short loop
The estate loop
About 5 km
Pavement and the edge of the playing fields. Some of it is lit.
From Wootton Road, around the Nunny and back to the same pavement. This is the Wanderers loop, with walking built in. It is not a measured course.
Where
Ideas, not a timetable. Distances are about, not certificates. Paths change with mud and with whatever the council is digging up. If a road feels wrong, we use the pavement. The forum post says which one you are doing.

Longer loop
About 8 km
Pavements, with a bit of path if it is not a bog.
The longer estate loop. Same start, further out towards Bradley Road, same finish. Hi-vis after dusk. Roads are for traffic. We use the pavement.
Woods
About 6 to 12 km
Woodland paths. Mud after rain. Roots.
Start at the car park just inside Bradley Woods, off Bradley Road. Stay on the main paths for the shorter one, or link them if the group is happy. Shorter turnarounds are normal.
A first jog
About a mile a lap
Park paths. Flat and open.
The Victorian park near the middle of Grimsby. Useful when someone wants a first jog without a dark estate road, or when we fancy repeats.
Easy wander
About 4 km
Park paths, leaves and roots.
A wander through Weelsby Woods on the main trails. Easy to cut short. Fine for a steady group that does not want the estate roads.
Parkrun or the prom
Parkrun is 5 km. The prom is as far as you like.
Country Park: tarmac and grass. Prom: concrete, and wind.
Parkrun is three laps of the lake at Cleethorpes Country Park, run by parkrun, not by us. The promenade is a separate idea for a longer one. Check the parkrun page on the morning if that is the plan.
